WHAT'S UP ?
The Werner John video shoot: Werner of Flutewalker.com was very gracious and did well discussing his music and flutes. Janet Kaplan-Bucciarelli did her first video interview. Janet added another dimension to Werner's information, with a mixture of warmth and curiosity. It was an odd day for shooting outdoors, alternating sunny-to-overcast, then finally pouring while we rushed the equipment indoors and called it a day.
The Oral Histories Project for Amherst Library: The still is from one of six edits of oral history packages, in association with Pivot Media, currently in progress. (Shown here is William Kennick, originally videoed in 2003.) Two recent videos filmed in New York by another videographer were shot in XDCAM (high definition 16:9), a new challenge for editing and time-consuming to compress, but producing great detail.
